trying to update the xede....can't connect though because it will only allow me to select comport 1-4 and i always connect to the xede through comport 5.

anyone know how to fix this crap?

 

I have heard people were able to update their firmware using the new xmap, but I was able to use xupdate so I'm not positive.

Keep trying. I believe if you read the "issues" section, it will tell you that there is a bug in the program that pops up the cannot connect tab.

I was having the same problem untile I deleted all my old v2 xmap software. Once I got rid of it, it would still pop up the cannot connect, but it would start up communication.

I agree its a PITA, you just gotta keep messin with it. If I had to do it again I woulda just left in v2 and waited for the final v3.

 

Jeff, Give me a call. There is a way to change the comm port via your Laptop's settings. I can walk through a few things with you to see if we can get it working properly.
