so, is it just me or it is.....

I have the Vishnu Stage 1+ (see sig) and I installed a Deijon MBC and a Defi Concept HUD. What I noticed is that I seem to be losing torque. Before the MBC, I would hit about 1.7 Bar (23.8 psi) but after install I was hitting a ceiling of 1.5 Bar (21 psi). Is this any significant difference? After getting home, I just dialed up the MBC until I was able to hit my 1.7 Bar again but somehow (maybe) I just don't get the torque I used to feel. Am I just imagining things?? BTW, the stock intake had to be removed and i got a code, later reset with a code reader.

I sincerely don't think the Xflash may have been affected. If so, how do I know? BTW, for those of you wondering, I had the MBC installed in advance of a later Exede upgrade.

I mention the Defi HUD concept since the tach readings are way off after install (it hits 8K RPM and sits there). I then realized my RPM needle accelerated slowly than what I had noticed before.

Any tidbits of expertise before I have to go back to the shop? Thanks in advance guys...

Ok you might be right from what Ive seen MBCs straightline to a pressure, they do this well but they also trim the torque curve like a butcher trimming the fat off a steak. The beauty of the Xede(Reflash also to a good extent) is that it has RPM dependant boost control, meaning that the tuner can control the boost curve independant of the other parameters. This offers more control. A tuner can also manipulate timing on a mbc car to get that torque. I guess it boils down to talking to shiv as I know he tunes for and expects certain mods to work together.

So, will pulling out the MBC to restore the torque I lost? Damn, I should have waited to get this thing installed.

I would get rid of that MBC if you already have an Xede. You might blow somthing up "a la smoggy spec style."

just curious why you got an MBC to begin with? If you are "getting ready for a XEDE upgrade", then you won't need a MBC, since the XEDE can control boost by itself.
