Cannot download maps from SMART Xede
Cannot download maps from SMART Xede
When I hook up to the Xede I can see all of the information, so I have a good connection (RPM even seems to pick up today) but when I try to upload and look at maps in the Xede I get..... Access violation at address 00000000. Read of address 00000000. ... When I get this message it comes with a check box that will not go away no matter how many times I try to hit Ok. I have to do a cont-alt-delete and shut the program down. Is there a way to make sure the firmware is correct? It seem to be picking up knock and A/F? Also what are the AN2 and Freq0 tables? there is some activity on both, I just do not know what they are.
Thanks for the help, Joey

You are using the wrong version of XMAP in your XMAP folder. There are two in there. Use the one that says XMAP 3.2 User version. You can move the other one elsewhere or delete it alltogether.

I am using XMAP 3.2 User version. Shouls I delete the XMAP programs and re-install? And would I only need to download XMAP 3.2 user or would I have to load XMAP 2 and then 3 and then 3.2?

The only reason you installed the XMAP 3 is because it already have an installer exe written for it. We don't have that for 3.2 yet. This is why you installed 3.0 first and then dumped in the updated files to run 3.2. As for the access violation, can you open the SMART templates provided the other day?

I talked to Dustin and I think that I have it now, basically you cannot move the 3.2 to a desktop location because it needs the dpl60 or whatever it is to run. I was ready to pull hair out...Thanks
