ok so here is what is going on. i got an xede v2 from another evom member. i haven't received it yet, but i downloaded xmap, the install directions, maps, etc. i'm reading the instructions and it says to remove the brass boost line restrictor pill which isn't a problem. then it shows instructions for putting in a boost solenoid emulator but it also says only for 2005 evos. i have a 2003 evo. so what do i do? just disconnect the line, remove the pill, and then reinstall the line? are there any parts or lines that i need like it shows? thanks.

all you have to do is remove the line that has the brass pill in it, like the directions say. Take the pill out, and re-install the line.

BUT, what i find to be easier(and MUCH easier if you ever need to go back to the pill) is to just completely replace that vac hose that the pill is in. I believe its a 4mm vac hose, but im not 100% certain.

 

how long of a line would i need? anyone know the diameter for sure (4mm?)?

 

i would get 3 ft, just to be safe....you can always cut it, and its like 1 per foot or something.
