How bout you just post up your map file here? The process will take you 5-10 seconds.

Let me figure out how to do that... Because yesterday with xmap already open, it let me add and burn my boost map... where today it tells me that I am trying to connect to a V2 Xede. If I try to open the maps with Xmap2, I get nothing with an error. I think the problem mentioned above may have something to do with it. Regardless, I'm out of time and can't dick with it anymore until 11pm CST.

Instead of messing with it, just post up the file. To do this, zip it (right click on it and "send to compressed folder"). And add it to your post as an attachement.

If you open xmap 3 from the desktop, or from the 'quick jump' icon in the start menu, you will get that message, because it links to the wrong xmap3.

You have to go to
-Start
-My Computer
-Local Disc(C <-------LOL can't type C: with parentheses around it you get smiley
-Program Files
-xede
-xmap3
-xmap 3_2 user version

and viola! you probably updated the firmware right, but used a desktop icon for xmap3 when you went in.

let me know if that helped. i too am a computer noob(not as bad as you, LOL) so i went through the same things.

^^^ thats what i was trying to say

delete the desktop and quicklink icons that the install program automatically placed and replace them with the proper 3.2 shortcut

then you wont have to worry about opening the wrong version again.

A Big thanks to Freedom!!!! I could not get the files posted up to run for any money, but Freedom sent me his files and it cranked right up the first time! I don't know what was going on, but all is well now. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to figure out how to use the high speed logger, and do some tuning.

BTW, where do I get the female connectors for the Xede plugs and OE ECU (for the clutch switch). I don't want to make anything permanent where I can't just unplug it. Radio Shack looked at me like I was crazy...

I'm not surprised. For the most part, radioshack employees know nothing about what they sell.

"Radioshack: you've got answers, we've got blank stares"

I've given up asking. If you go to the back of the store there's usually several drawers full of different electrical widgets (switches, connectors, etc). I can usually find something to meet my needs by rummaging through there.

You won't find anything at Radio Shack. And I'm 99% sure that you won't find anything local either.

But you can mail order them from the following company,

http://www.deutschconnector.com/

The Xede's connector's are the DTM series. There are several possible contacts that can be employed but the best one is P/N 0462-201-2031 (socket, gold, 18-24 AWG.) You can just solder to the contact and forget about crimping them. (Unless for some reason you have a crimping tool for mil-spec connector contacts. For reference it is ~$200!)

You will find other lower cost options as well for socket contacts on the following web page,

http://www.battsracing.com/cart/stor...M_Sealing_Plug

I have connectorized (honest it's a word - just kidding) the LC-1 installation with a connector set purchased from Batts. In addition I purchased socket pins to ensure a clean install on the connections to the Xede.

In the end I have found that it takes about a week from order to delivery w/ ground shipping.

Oh, _those_ connectors. I thought zeus was talking about the regular older blade connectors that vishnu suggests for powering the lc-1. doh!

I've no experience to relate to the xflash... I can say I've been VERY happy with Turbo Trix's flash work... which I will be running SMART on top of. If I can't get the two to work together, I will abandon SMART and continue using the Xede as a high dollar boost controller/launch control/etc.
