What do we do when we bring 6 cars, all of them making 300-550bhp, to the least forgiving, most technical road course in North America?
Have a lot of fun!!
Lots of pics to follow. Among the few things we've learned:
1) EVOs are waaay easier to drive than 911s
2) SMART is quantifiably better than non SMART
3) Asitha is still the most hated man in NASA
j/k

Kim's pug
My 911 (slower than a Stg 1+ evo... but not for long)
6 EVOs (Dustin, Ruch, Asitha, Lambtron, Isaac, Leif, etc,.), Sean's STi, Kim's WRX, Calvin's Mazdaspeed Protege and my rear-engined scare machine.

i <3 shiv
anyway, what an awsome and fun day. unfortunatly i did not get to see shiv or asitha run as i was always in a download session when they were out. same with kim and isaac. however dustin ruch calvin and i held it down in group3, passing everyone and getting passed by no one, and even lapping a few people. except for that damn convertable m3 that i dive bombed once (oops) everyone on the track was extremly courtious and the day could have not gone better. i need to get into the 1:55s next time... 3 seconds isnt that much to shave off.

Its all about light truck tires.
In my case it was all about no camber and riding on the sidewalls for two track days. The outsides of my KDs are ruined, while the insides are in brand new like shape
Still fun, anyone know if you can run camber plates on the stock suspension?

Sounds like Shiv had a run-in with some lift throttle oversteer and high polar inertia! My father used to have a wide body 964, I remember being in the car with him once while going around a 90 degree right hand corner at about 40-45 mph, he was looking at something else and the Porsche in front of him took the right so when he looked back at where we were supposed to be going he just cut the wheel hard to the right and let off of the gas. Next thing we knew we were facing the wrong direction going backwards at about 30-35 mph facing all of the Porsche's that had been behind us. He started listening to me when I explained heel-toe shifting so that you would always be in the proper gear after that.

I did a 1.59 with smart on light truck tires. The STI did a 2.14 in traffic. I dont know about kim, since we were all getting ready to roll for our session, we didnt time her. Leif did a 1.59 or 1.58 with non-smart, but on RA-1s.
