V3 Map Request for HKS 280s

Hopefully the vishnu boys can help. I need a decent base map for HKS280s on a stock motor. I have a turboback, fuelpump, camgears and 280s for a V3 XEDE. Thanks guys.

I emailed Shiv asking for the same thing a month ago and never heard anything back.

Hmm, well I hope we can get some assistance. Dustin has always been prompt with help. Did you eventually get a map sorted for the 280s, Madpacket?

Nope. I have read elsewhere that you need to get the maps directly from Shiv. I could be wrong. I don't have the cams yet, so I didn't need the map yet either. But I wanted to switch maps as soon as the cams are in.

Just use the standard maps for the 272 or 264 cams. The tweaks between the two are so minor that it didn't require another baseline map. Automatic SMART adjustments will more than compensate for it.

What about us non-smart users? heh. This may be an ignorant question, but is there a viable non-smart path, in the future? In other words will Vishnu end-of-life non-smart support of Xedes?

Of course. Even nonSMART users can use the standard baseline for 264s and 272 when running 280s.

Thanks Shiv. I'll give it a go with the 264/272 map, and see how it goes.

With the 280's would we still have to run the -2 -2 cam setting? I understand that might not be optimal for those cams. IIRC +2 0 had good results. Would that require drastic changes in the timing table? I guess the basic question is - Does cam timing affect ignition timing?

Do what Shiv reccomends above, I did , and it works fine. of course Andrew at Dyno4mance tuned it since then, but I used the map they told me to use! (see above).
