Xede Firmware update - cross ship ?

I am not real sure about updating the Firmware on my V3 Xede to be able to use the 3.2 software. Reading these forums...some people have had boot problems, etc.

Is it possible to have another Xede (that is up-to-date with the latest firmware), and have a map already loaded (the non-smart 360 map for 93 octane) shipped...and I would then send my original Xede back to you? Mine is only a few months old.

I use my car as a daily driver and I can't be without the car. I would be willing to place a deposit so that you could trust I would send my original Xede back.

The whole reason I went with the Xede was "ease of use"....at least that was what I perceived it to be....but now with the steps involved with upgrading firmware, etc. I don't trust myself to do it correctly.

I love the performance the Xede tuning maps offer....much better than other EVO's in the area....and hitting my 12.8's in the 1/4 mile with the small amounts of mods....makes me want to keep going the Vishnu stages...

let me know what you think.

Ummm unfortionately, no. You can always send it back to us, we will update the firmware and map for you, and then send it back to you. You can drive your car without the xede.

If I take off the Xede, can I just unplug and go? or do I have to put the green wire back on the original ECU and put the brass restricter pill back on?

You can simply unplug and go if you'd like. But you will only see 12-13psi of boost without the green wire put back into the factory harness. If you decide to put the green wire back, it's also a good idea to put the pill back into the vacuum line that goes to your boost control solenoid. This will bring your boost to stock levels.

shiv on dustin's computer.
