Looking into a vr4

Hey guys

Im a big fan of your guy's work. I was wondering if you have ever done anything with a galant Vr4. I dont want to go too extreme with it but I think it would be a good car to mod and make a sleeper.

I was thinking a little more power, firmer suspension, and new paint.

Even if you guys can point me in a good driection it would be much aprecieated.

don't know if this will help your cause but I saw that Mark at AMS is selling a VR4 modded, check it out at

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...&highlight=vr4

even if you don't want to buy it look at the list of mods and you could always call the AMS guys b/c they have done the work already

I owned a 1991 VR-4 in Japan a few years back. Awesome car. When it spooled up it would pull like a rabid dog. If I didnt own an evo, I would consider the VR-4 again, actually. However the two cars, while they do use the same base powerplant, are two different animals. The VR-4 is larger, heavier, and it did not handle near as precisely as the evo does - even with a set of well tweaked JIC coilovers and sway bars on it. Perhaps that is due to the four wheel steering system?

Nevertheless, it was a blast to drive. Wish I had that car in my garage with my evo. If you get one, be sure to post pics!!

not to take your thread off topic, but are you looking for a VR-4 to replace your evo?
