PS. Just finished another 9 a few minutes ago. Stock, it put down 234whp. With custom tuned reflash, it put down 275whp. Without custom tuning (just baseline map), it put down 265whp.

I would love to have my car dyno'd but it might create some friction between two tuners(like revealing some trade secrets). Thanks though for the offer.

Hi Shiv, where did you say you were gonna post the dyno sheet for my 9?
Btw, thanks alot for tuning my car, it was such a great difference before and after the reflash.

I think the exhaust is the best first Mod. That is second to a custom tune .

I want a custom tune from Shiv himself.

Is this sam? If so, I'm still at the shop and wont be able to post up the graphs until later tonight Just wrapped up Gary's IX about an hour ago. It made 295whp. I also dyno'd the Porsche 996 twin turbo and it made 319whp. Of course, I have some interesting graph overlays that y'all might be interested in seeing

Glad that you like our work. They are great cars and make people like me look really good!

Trust me-- there are no trade secrets. That's just nonsense that tuners tell you so that you don't dyno the car. I actually encourage my customers to go to 3rd party dynos. It's important for everyone to not only see if their tuning is safe and stable but also to see if they get what they were promised by the tuner. It's certainly worth the $75-90 that someone will charge you.

As for friction, there is already some there so I don't think you have anything to worry about. If I have to listen to you-know-who tell everyone to come to them for tuning because they have engineering degrees, cute product names, and are nice guys, I'm going to hurl on my keyboard. And that is gross.

i would LOVE to see how much power their flash makes.. this would be a great comparison. they are usually super conservative so im sure it will make less power than shiv's base flash.

arent you even the slightest bit curious about how much hp your car gained from the flash coco?

wait.. a 420 hp car only dynos 319?? could it be true?? does the dyno read low???

Good God. Could to try to offend more people? Half of our customers are STi owners. And I have what is essentially an STi wagon at home. "Pink badge envy you have" says Yoda.

I was not bagging on the SRT-4. I was stating its strength and it is an upgrade from Drew's Slowbaru(Al would be proud). U got me all wrong on this one. I was bagging on Subies though.
Sorry Shiv 1st ammendment rights force me to tell the truth.-- Also I did bring u a STI customer.--- They are alright as long as u stay conservative with them.--IMO Works should flash STIs not Evos with their conservative approach.

Shiv,

I just started watching some of these threads. I traded in my 04 RS for an 06 IX MR with the MIVEC. Does your flash work with the MIVEC system also? If so, is it available as a mail in? I'm still breaking in the car so it will be at least a month before it's ready for this. I was going to keep this one pretty stock after spending all that money on the RS. Albeit, as fast as the IX feels, it still pales in comparison with the way the RS felt with all the mods. I was hoping that a flash would at least give it a little more kick in the pants without sacrificing driveability.

I think that's the truly nicer thing about the IX - Driveability

Feels much more refined while still retaining the ruthlessness of the previous models. A true "Evolution"

Tony

P.S. I guess I need to change my sig now...... gotta go to work..... I'll do it later...... disregard the following.......

Get off the Nut-sack Street King. No need to get the other Apes upset and prove u wrong with their 94 octane numbers. 40 whp is quite impressive but I am sure some ape will tune one over the top(Drag race only Toon) on a higher reading Dyno +94 oct/or Mustang Dyno and claim the Evo 9 Tooning crown.
