First mods of 06 IX MR

From the posts that I've been following, it seems that Vishnu really has the new 06 ECUs figured out. I just got my MR and will probably start modding it in January. I'm trying to figure out which modifications will make the most sense. My current plans are just to add an intake (still haven't decided on which as yet) and the Vishnu flash. Assuming everything else is left stock including the exhaust, how much more power could I likely make? 20 - 25whp over stock perhaps? Also on Vishnu's site, he lists 750 for the custom flash tune. With me being in Atlanta, it's alot more likely that my flash will be a mail in affair. Is that offered currently? Thanks for taking the time to read my post and hopefully answer my questions.

umm, why would you not go ecutek? I would not go with a mail in flash, get a custom flash for your car. Ecutek alone should give you over 30whp and put you in the 300 range. My IX dyno'd 270awhp stock and I will be letting doug at topspeed tune it with ecutek in jan. He has already tuned a few ix's and says the gains are amazing.

I didn't realize that there was someone local for tuning the EVOs. I know of quite a few of the performance shops in the Atlanta area but I didn't know of any that specialize in EVOs

Ron - I suggest you search a little more.

Not sure how you can justify an Intake and not an Exhaust Both will potentially void a warranty; however, only one will net you any gains

and the one that will get the gains is not the one you plan on getting.

Free dyno test if you're interested

Shiv

PS. Just finished another 9 a few minutes ago. Stock, it put down 234whp. With custom tuned reflash, it put down 275whp. Without custom tuning (just baseline map), it put down 265whp.

Shiv is this a custom XFlash? Or are you acheiving these numbers with the XEDE?

Cool... That's probably the route that I'll take then... I need to see what a IX with a full exhaust sounds like before going that route.

Get an STI, u are addicted to being "Slow". What! I see SRT 4 in your Sig. Congrats on the new car that excels at" Roll Races".
