Xede for EVO IX (9) Release Status Updates

I found the following posted in this thread:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=170365

on Dec 15, 2005 shiv@vishnu stated:
"...we don't expect to have a plug-in XEDE [for EVO 9] for at least 3 months. That's how long its taking to get the new style connectors. Once we get them, we'll make progress very quickly with baseline maps, XEDE controlling the MIVEC, etc,..."

Hopefully Shiv will be able to keep us updated in this dedicted thread and make it a sticky...

Some other questions that I have seen in other threads that could be answered/confirmed:

1. Will the Xede will on EVO 9?
Ans: Yes, but will require new maps and new connectors

2. Will there be a trade in program for the EVO 8 harness to a EVO 9 harness?
Ans: ?

Hi there. Shiv here (on Dustin's computer). We are in the process of adapting the XEDE to the EVO 9. Of primary interest is MIVEC mapping since that is where much of the subjective impact is made on driving performance. It one of the things that we are working on this month so hang tight

As for your question:

2. Yes a trade program is a good idea. I have no problem with that

Cheers,
shiv

Just creating a cross-reference to a thread on the same topic:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh....php?p=2718594
Maybe these 2 threads can be merged?

Just waiting on connectors for the EVO 9 ecu at this point. Can't really do anything with the MIVEC retrofit until we have the XEDE for it though

Shiv
shiv any news on the IX fittings?

i been away for awhile so i figured id ask.

also, i noticed they are making hks cams for the IX Mivec in the 272 flavor, you expect any better gains out of these or the ones for the VIII will do about the same. i was thinking about getting some cams before tuning is why i ask.

Vish, any updates yet on when will the XEDE for the IX be available? Will you also have the SMART upgrade for them?

The connectors have started to trickle in. Still a couple more to go. When we have them all, we can get to work on the plug-in harness. It's currently out of our hands for now...

Same here. I'm tempted to just drive the ~350 miles to just get a flash & tune done.
