Tales from Dyno: Stg 1+ configurations

But in road racing applications, that midrange would get a little unstable if subject to constant heat loading. Same reason why I rarely run more than 25psi on the stock turbo when it could run as much as 30psi (in the midrange) if one were to really crank things up. Basically it's a trade off between performance and longevity/safety margin. I tend to drive cars hard. Not as hard as chronohunter, but still pretty hard. Heck, all of us here at Vishnu track their cars religiously. So we like to be a little bit extra safe at times. No fun worrying about your engine when you're trying to make a clean pass

-ShivAre the current posted maps road race (lapping day) safe?
Using the current maps, is the -4 fuel, zero timing, max boost still conservative on 100 octane?
If we feel inclined, can we use positive timing values in the timing map? Reason I ask is because some of use run C16 every once in awhile and I'm sure we can get more timing out of that fuel.
I'm way below the curve re: this conversation but I've got a question:
Stage 1+ is advertised to make 390 hp. I've read that we should expect 20% loss to the wheels.
I've only got a minor in Math but this doesn't add up.
What am I missing?

Well ..... Dyno's lie..... That and different elevations, weather, and various stages of tune definately make different cars read different HP.
A trap speed is a fairly good indicator of HP but you still battle with conditions and geography.
