Shiv,

Here ya go. I was thinking could this be early clutch slip but it does not do this when I just downshift and hit it hard.

Sorry in advance for the quality. Was taken with my regular digital camera.
This is a 5th gear steady driving video then WOT without changing gears.
Its sort of a surge and then the rpms drop off and then start climbing again.
You can hear it in the engine too.

If its my clutch then why doesnt it do it when I downshift and then give it WOT?
That more stress then just pushing down on the pedal in the gear your in. If its a clutch then so be it but just want to make sure thats it before spending all that money.

looks like clutch slippage for sure, in what clutch pedal position does your clutch engage, top, middle or bottom?

correct me if i'm wrong, but if the clutch was slipping the rpms would rise during a slippage event... i listened to the clip... maybe it is slipping, but i have 26,000 mi on my 03's stock clutch and no prob. seems early for a new IX clutch to go, but with you never know

This is clutch slip bro. My car had 30k on it before it started to show signs of slippage. His car has way more whp then it used to have and so his clutch isn't holding up.

Also, the reason why it doesn't slip at high rpms is because the torque on the motor is almost gone. The best way to tell if you have *early* clutch slip is to do what he just did. It'll get worse in time.

For the record.. I only took mine to the strip once before tune and once after tune just to see the difference. I think I may be done with drag racing and will stick to road course.... which... btw.. I just had to call and cancel for this Friday at Summit Point. Grrrr..
