Good Map Switch Location

Last week I mounted my map switch for my Xede. I wanted a spot the was easily accessable but also hidden enough so no one (machanics/valet) else would find it.

Anyways I found this great spot near the glovebox. There is already a hole that a regular troggle switch from the auto parts store fit perfectly. The switch is easy to get to, even with glovebox installed and hidden well. Heres what it looks like...

If this is a repost or sumpin, then sorry for wasting your time.

I have 3 toggle switches next to my shift lever, One to switch maps on the fly!, one for shift light, and one empty for now. I like the fact if I need to, I can just flip it on the fly, without pulling over to flip the switch. Can post pictures tomorrow.

From what others have told me, the XEDE does not like to be switched on the fly. You need to have the car off to do it.

I havent had trouble in over 2 years! I shift it in with the clutch in, and the gas off.

I can switch maps on the fly without pulling over. I can reach the switch when I'm in the driver seat. I didn't want the switch to be in the open, as I'll be puttin' a 100 oct. map on my second bank and wouldn't want someone to switch it when theres 91 in the tank.

I switch on the fly, but only when I'm at idle. You don't have to turn the car off.

No problem with switching XEDE maps on the fly. Just give it 2 secs to fully load the new map bank. During this loading time, the LED will be constant orange, after which it will go solid green.
