? for Shiv

Hey Shiv, you recently tuned my car (1 Mar, white evo), great job BTW. Anyway, just wanted to ask a few questions. When I connect to the Xede with my laptop and download the map from there, once it's finished downloading, it tells me that the map in XMap and the one in Xede do not match. Shouldn't it match since I just downloded it? I am runnin XMap V3.2.0.7, the recent version from your website. I know you were doin some updates while out there and just wanted to make sure I had a correct version of XMap or if there is one you used that is different. Also, I was hoping you could add in Launch Control to the map I downloaded, to hit the limit at 6000RPM. I have included the map the I downloaded from my Xede so that you can verify it is the correct one as well as possibly adding LC to it. Thanks...

Still wonderin if a launch control map could be added to this map. I tried using the template method posted in the other thread and the launch control works, but it totally screws up how the car runs. I even tried experiemting a little myself, but keep finding myself going back to the map without the launch control.

Preciate any help from the board...

You need to check the table nesting. Post up your map and I can add in launch control or show you how to.

Yeah, I have it as a zip file in the inital post up top. I was doin some experimenting the nesting but could get it to work right and I didn't want to mess somethin up too bad since I don't know exactly what I'm doin. If you could add it that would be great. I can always go in a change the RPM point but getting the initial table to act right seems to be the issue.

Let me know if there is anything else you need.

Alright I do not have my car here to test (down for clutch/tranny rebuild) but I double checked this against my maps and you should be good. Give me a few more minutes and I will post up a tutorial.

*edit* I really can not tell if you are running smart or not. The fuel threshhold table and timing are taking the same input variable. Did you mess with that? I am going to deactivate smart and send it to you with launch control.

no, this map is the map that shiv created for me. I should have SMART enabled, though...

btw, is that your map with smart disabled, or did you use my map? I haven't actually looked yet...

Unless shiv used the new version of xmap (conditional features) to create the maps? It is your map and smart fuel was disabled. The table was all 0's. Also the smart timing & fuel (or was it the threshhold?) were using the same user var (user 2) for input/output. That will royally confuse things.

Let me know if you need help enabling smart.
