The Vishnu Thread Amazes Me

I'm now on my second evo and really just started looking at the Vishnu thread. Before guys like IE and Smoggy, Vegas guys didn't have a lot to say about Vishnu, just talked some harmless, mostly out of ignorance crap, and drove slow evo's.

I've been reading the thread pretty closely for a little bit and it is by far the most technical thread on the board. Everyone seems to have a very in depth knowledge about their car and Vishnu seems to be great about actually responding in their own thread unlike some other vendors out there. I was thinking about just waiting for the AEM IX system, but I'm really starting to conisder a piggyback like XEDE. I guess the whole post is really just a big pat on the back to all of you guys. This is probably the most informative and productive thread on the board right now. I better keep reading and learning to keep up! Just some observations..

God I sound like a fanboy.

We do pride ourselves in having some of the smartest guys on the board posting in our forum. In many threads engineers, chemists, and professional drivers post regularly. This makes the level of discussion that is much more in depth, than what I have seen on many other forums I have been a part of.

Stick around for awhile, and Enjoy.

It's not a hit on anyone in Vegas, I love it here. It's just when I first came out to the meets no one was running 12's. There just weren't any car's running times much better then what should have been stock times.

This is very true, his threads are very technical! The guys here are very open and does not appear to have anything to hide in terms of tuning. I've learnt a great deal on how the the stock ECU works. In fact, there is a very informative thread on some of the differences between the stock evo 8 and evo 9 ecu. Keep up the good work guys!

Group hug!

Thanks for the thumbs up to me. I was just going to post that credit also needs to be given to Dyno4mance for spreading good parts, technical info, and accurate DynoDynamics second opinions. Tuning Technologies deserves some credit with the Las Vegas guys as well.

As far as your IX goes. My advice would be to take it slow. First, their is no Xede for the 9 as of yet. However, their are great reflash options that available now, and word on the street is that Shiv has a new product coming out this year that will make 9 owners get a chubby.

Take care.

That is one of the reasons I bought a Xede myself, the level of intelligence on the most part on the Vishnu forums. Being from L.A, the Vishnu Evo's were the ones that I would see running the in 12's or faster. Now I'm happy to be in the 12's and a have a product that has an endless possibilty for future upgrades.

Tuning Tech does deserve recognition too for making the tunes happen for the Vegas guys. I'm just impressed by the amount and detail of info in this thread.
