First of all I want to thank everybody who helped me out here


I formally had 3rd party BaseFlash 2 times and I never really liked the power..

After all the trouble and hassle, I decided to try Vishnu, who was known for their great customer support and tuning expirence.

So.. after talking with my friend, who is also in this board, I decided to go with

XEDE+SMART+XFlash

I really didn't know what to expect, but knowing XEDE's functionality of adding options and changing calibrations, I was pretty firm with my decision.

So right after the spring break began, me and my friend hit to the south

From Seattle to Danville Ca is about 900miles and it was a long drive

1. I had to pick up XEDE from Joe!! (nice guy!!)

2. I had to go to the Mitsubishi dealer to pick up the boost line

3. Drove down to Shiv's shop

Initial impression of Shiv was exactly what I expected from talkin' with him on the phone. Very easy going, relaxed, and welling to listen!!!

Basically, I told him my car's story and he listened and he explained what was going to do step by step.

Custom tune, 92 oct map , 100 oct map


1. Base run was made about 4times yielding about 225whp

2. Shiv Xflashed my ECU and he was doing something with his notebook
->I really didn't know what he was doing... I just trusted him

3. He did about 1000+ dynorun and spend alot of careful times as if it was his car!!

4. It took him about 3+hrs, which included (talking, explanations, dyno, tuning, installing XEDE, and more explanations!)

5. After the baserun, Shiv told me that he can not promise any huge power gains.. , but after all the work and all the explanations, at that point I really didn't care how much power my car makes.
Because i knew Shiv tried his best and did everthing as if it was his car!!




6. After the careful examination of whp / tq graphs, I was like -> "Oh 60+whp at the top?" at that time I really didn't know what 60+whp meant

7. So I got chance to ride in my car, which was driven by Shiv(first time in passinger seat, while drive that hard!). just seating in passinger seat was impressive, but couldn't really tell.

8. After everything was done, I drove home and in highway, i realized my car was different in every aspect!! I had soo!!! much fun driving back up to Seattle because it felt like as if i just got a new car!!!!!!


9. In CA, there is only 91oct gas and after putting in 92oct in Oregon it was even better!! pull alot stronger and alot smoother then ever!



Someone could ask me "was it even worth driving down to Vishnu 14hr drive?"

my answer is !!!

Man, you know you had a good experience when you use like 100 exclamation points in one post. I had a very similar before/after experience. Reading your review makes me realize how lucky those of us in Northern California are to have arguably the best tuner in the country here in our backyard.

If you live in the bay area (or within 900 miles of it, in your case), you'd be crazy to take your car to anyone else but Shiv. Plus, he acts professionally and treats his customers well. Imagine that.

Thats rad im glad everything worked out, i loved my xede when I had it. And am glad to see it went to another good car. Your a brave man for that drive.

Glad your happy with your car Min. You deserve it after all that driving! But I think you're a little wrong on the number of dyno runs. It was closer to 18 pulls, not 1000 When you get all your SMART components, feel free to ask if you have any questions. Either to us or this forum (they are all a bunch of great guys here).
