Question ? regarding flow restrictor in boost line

If I was to temporarily disconnect the XEDE (run directly off stock ECU)and not replace the the brass restrictor in the boost line. Would the boost be higher or lower than stock? This is on a 2003 Evo.

It depends, if you connect the stock ECU back up to the BCS, I'm not sure. If you leave the stock ECU disconnected from the BCS, the boost will be lower that stock.

If the BCS is hooked back up to the factory computer, it generally causes for unstable boost. You will notice that your car may spike higher than stock, but run less boost at redline. With the BCS disconnected, you will see mechanical wastegate pressure, which is 12 pounds.
