Xflash..and going to Germany!!

I will be taking my 2005 Evo to Germany this summer. I can't wait to get this thing on the Nurburgring!

I am tuned on Xflash 91 Octane, HKS 264/272, walbro fuel pump, Helix TBE, Helix downpipe, and fidanza cam gears. German gas is 94 Octane with up to 98 Super unleaded. Will I see any power gains by moving up to a higher octane? And if so, will installing a MBC/BOV make any substantial gains? I would think a higher octane will allow me higher boost and thinking the MBC would come in handy.

I am currently about 315 whp on at Tuning technologies dynojet (which IMHO is low) and would like to see better numbers Would a reflash be better? Unfortunately, I will not be able to make the Socal Vishnu Dyno day later this month unless you can just reflash me there

Shiv, any thoughts? Thanks!

You can't go by just the number. I believe EU ga...err petrol is RON, where US fuel is R+M/2.

Let me guess. You can ship your car on one of these huge Tank careers and get it there for free...

My taxes are doing a lot these days.

Anyways, enjoy it and take a lot of pics.

German 98 Super unleaded is like US 93 octane.

Maybe I can help you, I come from Europe.. You can get in Germany gas from 95-100 octane on pump. Never will get any 94 or less. But Europe gas is overrated. Mostly used gas is 95 octane which is like 92 in US. 100 octane gas is like 96 in US. I beleive you will like the way how can you drive Europe streets without coming to jail

Driving on the Autobahn is great. Just watch out for the BMWs and MBs in the left lane. They'll come up on you really quickly. Stay to the right all the time unless you're passing.

BTW, the "autobahn" is like saying the "highway". It's not just one road...it's any highway.

Where in Germany will you be? My wife is from Stuttgart and still has family there. We go back almost every year.

Well, you are already reflashed, so you are thinking to re-reflash, right? You could get retuned to go a tad more aggressive. You should be able to pick up 10 or 15whp or so. If you are using a cat, your numbers look about right already....

shiv answered and suggested that i keep my flash. I could add a test pipe later and reel in more WHP. Just wondering if there is any danger using 100 octane gas with a flash tuned for 91....with a test pipe?
