From what I understand -- even with the C-Reader installed, you will still get a check engine light from time to time but the C-Reader will clear the code correct?

You will still get codes if they are triggered. But the will erase within minutes if the Creader is kept plugged in. With the exception of the PO300 code which wont be triggered from the start.

Sometimes adding an XEDE to such an application will make the code come on more readily. Or in some cases, less readily. The solution is to fix your transmission. Or if you want to put that off for a while, just install a C-Reader as it will surpress that particular code.

I can understand the tranny causing the code to be thrown, but would it actually make it missfire like it was? But either way, new transfer case is coming in, and gotta somehow find the money for the twin disk. But after all that i'll put the xede back in and see what comes of it

It's possible that all the false signals that the knock sensor would pick up could cause the ECU to pull timing until it starts to misfire.

I am noticing this more and more as my old crappy street tires slowly die... However, when I am running my race rubber, I don't see as many issues with false knock signals.

Oh boy, well you have me a bit concerned now. Since the P300 code isn't being generated -- I think I need to find out what code I am throwing then. I have had the C-Reader in all the time and I see a check engine light from time to time.

Currently i'm running the non-SMART 93 octane map -- should i be concerned Shiv?

I wanted everyone to know that I returned my XEDE and wiring harness to Shiv and he promptly replaced both.

After installation I went for a test drive and I have noticed a big difference in drivability from my old XEDE and wiring harness to this new one. The poor throttle response is gone and is now as good as stock. The boost now comes on strong, and there is no hesitation at any time (partial or full throttle). So it looks like there was something wrong with either my old wiring harness or XEDE because the new ones work great. I guess the potential is still there that the old file I uploaded was corrupt, but I'm going to leave the program Shiv installed in there for now and I'll modify it when I get more mods.

Again, thank you Shiv for sending out my replacement parts so quickly and thank you for the personal attention.

Great customer service!
