Dyno4mance Dyno Day Results - A Little Delayed
Sorry for the delay. I have been really busy with work, and didnt get a chance to post up my experience and results. However, here you go:
First off, a big thanks to Shiv and Andrew. Excellent service and excellent products. I cant say enough about how great the both of them really are. In addition I would like to thank Seth for organzing the event and for getting me my new BOV at a great price; Paul for helping out with the dyno and for taking pics; and to Cooter for helping ith my car on Friday, and helping out on the dyno. Big props to you all
Current mod list:
10.5 Hotside
3" TBE with test pipe
Walbro 255
MR BOV
GSC 272 Intake Cam / 264 Exhaust
Stock cam gears
Stock Intake with Works Drop-In
Stock IC and Piping
DC Tubular Manifold
Invidia O2 housing
Blitz SBC-iD EBC
Now an XEDE (previously Custom Dyno Dynoflash)
Here are the comparsions / results for the day:
******All runs were performed on the EXACT SAME BOOST LEVELS on PUMP GAS******
Run 002 (lower blue line) is the baseline Custom Dyno Dynoflash
Run 011 (red line) is just the XEDE Flash, 93 Oct
Run 023 (green line) is XEDE with XEDE Flash, 93 Oct
Run 030 (upper blue line) is XEDE with XEDE Flash, 110 Oct

I think that the graphs speak for themselves. I was ecstatic to get my car to break 300awhp on that dyno on pump. But, I must admit I am now addicted to race gas
The last several days have been very exciting. The car is a totally different beast. I must admit that I am now more enthused about driving the car. The car simply runs better. Better idle, smoother shifts, better throttle response, more overall horsepower and torque (area under the curve), better gas mileage, etc... All in all it is just a better kick in pants. Now matter which way I look at it, the car is just more enjoyable to drive.
Shiv did an awesome job with the vehicle. I also want to acknowledge his flawless customer service. He took time to sit me down and explain what he was going to do to tune the car, and how he was going to do it, and explained me how the XEDE works. In addition he spent almost 2 hours and 30 dyno pulls to get my junk tuned perfect. I must admit, at one point I felt a little bad for hogging up so much of this time. But, after driving it, that regret went away rather quickly.
Much props again to Shiv, Andrew, Seth, Cooter, and Paul. You definitely made the weekend well worth it. And I cant wait for the next dyno day, regardless if I am getting my car tuned or not.
Lastly, I made this post to highlight the excellent service from those listed above, as well as the awesome tuning and service of Shiv / Vishnu. This post is not intended to start a debate, argument, pissing contest, or whatever. So, leave that **** out of this thread.
Thanks again Shiv!!!!!!!!

Saw your numbers on forcefours. Very stout. Good to hear that you were able to get tuned for your alky!

No no...dont compare those to mine. His alky kit makes me look slow when I am on race.

WOW, didn't anyone see what I see? flashed for flashed, Shiv's Ecu Flash makes more HP than a Dynoflashed ECU? great job. If my eyes don't fail me, thats 30 AWHP MORE (Vishnu vs AL.) and to boot, thats on a DD Dyno!!! Which is how much difference on a Mustang Dyno? HUGE no?

I don't want to start another "war" I am just stating what is Obviously in black/red/blue here. same car, same dyno, with a "known" flash on initial strap down. Thats all.

And does the bottom graph show they used the "SAME" afr's to get the above numbers? If so, same a/f mixture, different numbers? how much is 30 AWHP on a dynojet? mustang dyno? 50 AWHP??? That is a TON of HP difference!!
