how about everyday driving, where a nut like me likes to drive hard
what is the bare minimum for the most power on 93?
would 11.5 be satisfactory?

I'm not sure how to read the numbers. Is 12.5 a better # than 11.5 at WOT, ie. higher no#=richer or vice versa? Sorry, was just wondering

lower the # = richer.
11.2 - 11.4 every day on pump 93
.

I think you have that reversed. A 12.5 A/F ratio would be leaner than a 11.5 A/F ratio.

yep your right 12.5 is leaner then 11.5.
also your question on afr is it when the car is by redline or when full boost comes in at 3500rpm??

The simplest answer is that the best AFR # is the leanest (i.e. highest) # that will not make your engine knock/detonate/pre-ignite. This # varies from car to car and also varies with atmoshperic conditions (i.e. temperature, humidity, altitude).

In my experience, 11.5 was slightly too lean for street use ... I would occassionally get some pulled timing in 4th gear highway pulls. IMO if you want to be safe, keep it at 11.0:1. Assuming a stock turbo (any flavor), you will want to hit that AFR no later than 4000 rpm or so - look at some of Shiv's dyno charts, you'll see what kind of AFR curve he usually shoots for.

Agreed....you should have a fairly fat tune for daily driving. I use my road race map for daily driving because I beat the crap out of my car every time I'm behind the wheel.
