Car will not idle correctly with XEDE!!! A little help Please???

My car will not idle right. Car will idle at 1000rmps and than shoot up to 2400rpms than back down to 1500 so on and so on. It acts a lot like a really bad vac leak. The car will stall aswell as backfire. I'm about to give up with this xede and go with flash.
My car seems to run perfect off the ecu.

Maybe the MAF doesn't like the increase in the volume of air from the 2.3? I thought I read somewhere that you can lock in the MAF frequency at idle with ECU+? I could totally be wrong.

Why don't you wait until after Thanksgiving when everyone is back at work instead of starting another thread? Again, didn't Shiv send you a pm?

I run the AMS 2.3 stroker, stock box, MAF and Xede no problem. Make sure the wires are pushed in Securely ontop of the Xede, and disconnect/reconnect the plugins also.

I have tried. I was throwing an EGR code so I was feeling around the back of the mani for a hose that popped off or something and discovered that a "device' (not sure what it is) was not plugged in. Plugged it in reconnected the exde. This helpped a little with the wild idle.

The car now idles about where it should be but has a difficult time staying there the car will than die.

Maybe you broke a "cheap" plastic connector on "the device". Do what I do, ZIP TIE it!! Then remove neg. terminal on battery for 20 minutes. Reconnect, and start the car WITHOUT TOUCHING THE GAS PEDAL. Let idle for 20 minutes, should solve the problem. Once you RE-plugged in, you need to reset the ECU. (disconnect like above) Keep us posted.

well after getting the car to run for 10 mins. Check engine light came on. Cam and Crank angle sensors. There was only one occurrance for each and must have happened at the same time.

well I had new 2.3 stroker installed by Road Race Engineering. They said the car was running good. I was to pick up the car the next day. However, following the next day the car was not idling correctly, backfiring, and stalling. They began to troubleshoot and found nothing wrong.

They later discovered that the xede was flashing red orange green light and determined that it was the overtemp issue beacue it was in the summer time. They disconnected the xede harness form the ecu. Car ran great.

I sent the xede out for the overtemp issue. Plugged the xede in and am having the same issues RRE was having with it.

I than sent the ECU and XEDE to Shiv. As far as I know he didnt find anything wrong with it.

Shiv installed my Xede in another car and experienced no problems.
Tunning Technologies installed a brand new Xede Wiring harness and bypassed my Smart system. My car experienced the same symtomes described above.

BTW My exde IS NOT flashing colors. The led is soild green when my car is running.

Are your wires spliced in correctly? Soldered, and not shorting out? It looks like a car specific issue, maybe in the wiring harness. I would re-check those out. If you get the car to idle, with the Xede flashing green, push in wires on the connectors, and wiggle them around a bit. Mine would misfire, and shut down the car, as one of mine were loose. Keep us posted.

My Xede is not flashing green its a soild green like it should be. Ya I will redo all the connections on the Xede however I doubt this will solve it because a new wiring harness was installed.

Have you let the car idle, and wiggled the wires that go into the Xede box? and the soldered wires? If you notice a change in idle characteristics, that may be the problem. I wil keep checking in, and I hope you resolve this fast.
