Help with XEDE/Car
I had just bought my friend's AMS GT30 kit, with everything (fuel, kit,XEDE,etc, etc) Had a good tune for pump, ran great on his car. Now on my car, I am having a problem with boost/fuel cut, and Idle issues. I am not sure what it is, but I was first trying to use the stock boost sylenoid, and it was throwing a CEL (overbost sylenoid) so I put in a manual boost controller, and it is still doing the same thing at exactly 6,000rpms, with a CEL (which I am going to pull the code today, and see what it is). When you do a pull not at WOT, it runs smooth through the RPM band, I have thought of everything I could think of, double checked everything.. I have just been reading here in the last 10 minutes of a "status" light on the xede when the car is on, have not checked that yet, and what colors are good when the light is on?
Any feedback is welcome!
What plugs are most of you running?

Did you change the injector scaling/cc setting on the ECU??? Just cause the Xede is tuned doesn't mean that the injector settings are going to change automatically on the ECU....might want to check into that...
It was running great on his car, I took everything off his, and put it on mine (injectors, turbo kit, xede, cams, ect, ect)
Switching stock ECU's would'nt do anything correct? I am thinking not.

You can't switch ECUs (Possible but a pita) between cars. The problem is the ECU needs to be reflashed to adjust for the new injectors as well as remove the fuel cut induced by the increased air. Send the ECU into Vishnu listing your mods and ask for an XEDE flash.
Problem solved
Pull the MBC back out and use the XEDE again for boost control. It does a better job and is not the problem

I can switch his ECU for mine no problem, but how could his car run good with a fash (with adjustment for bigger injectors, etc) and his car be stock now? I am confused
Thanks for your help!
You can't switch ECUs as the immobilizer has to be reconfigured for the new ECU which requires the help of the dealership -- hence PITA
His car is probably not producing the appropriate fuel at idle but is still running OK if not ideally. Technically he should get flashed back to stock.
When I stepped to bigger injectors my car ran poorly too until I was flashed. The XEDE flash is specifically designed for those running an XEDE and can be scaled for your mods so that it runs correctly.
Good luck,

I am still confused about not being able to swich my stock ecu, for his ecu, what was apperantly flashed, and was running the exede no prob.
Thank you for your help on this,
I am going to call Vishnu today sometime

The immobilizer is keyed to the ECU. If you change ECUs then you need to have the immobilizer keyed to the new ECU for the car to start. This can only be done by the dealership
The best solution is to pull your ECU and send it in to Vishnu to have the appropriate flash put on for your mods.
I am sure Vishnu will be able to clarify everything
