Vishnu customer service?

I bought the 06 EVO built for Graham Rahal from Showcase Mitsubishi back in February. It had 6000 miles on the odo. I drove the car for 6000 more miles. 3 days after I did the 2nd oil change the turbo quit. This was on April 24th. I removed it from the car and saw that the intake blades were all bent over and the main shaft was very loose. On Monday April 30th I brought the turbo to Showcase and they sent it to Vishnu. After 2 weeks they had not contacted myself or Showcase as to any findings. After repeated calls and another week of waiting. They gave me the answer that ATP said it seemed like it was foreign particle damage and something had gone through the intake. Not covered under warranty. I called the owner of Showcase and explained to him the situation and he then called Vishnu and never got a call back from them. I got ahold of Vishnu a couple days later after leaving messeges and repeated calling and they said they would send me a new turbo at wholesale price. Having accepted the fact that a piece of magic rock slipped by my air filter and through the MAF filter I agreed to buy a new turbo and they said they would send me an email with a price. After 2 days with no email I again repeatedly tried to call them with no answer and no call back. So here I am over 1 month later with a pretty much brand new car sitting in my garage that I can't drive and no clue when my turbo will get here. And also as I do not believe that something slipped through my air filter after 12000 miles I'm afraid that after I install the new turbo the same thing will happen immediately or after a short period and I'll be stuck on the same road as now. Sitting. Waiting.

If the turbo in question was from a stage 2 kit, I may be able to help you. I have a lightly used (< 1000 miles) Vishnu GT3071 I'm looking to part with (have reverted to a more stock turbo set-up).

Can't help you with your foreign particle stuff, but I've been there. Had a BR intake manifold that was unknowingly sludged with extrudehone that did quite a number on my first engine ... and cams ... and turbo and ... etc.

Hi there Skbydoo,

I believed I talked to you for the first time yesterday. Please understand that we're just the middle man in these types of warranty claims. Forgive my tardieness, but I don't work on Fridays, but I will be able to give you a quote on Monday for a brand new turbo, at WHOLESALE price, just because we feel your fustration.

So here I am June 11th and no Turbo. I did in fact get a call from Calvin last monday and placed the order for the new turbo at WHOLESALE! As i was and still am anxious to get the new one and be on my merry way I paid extra for 3-day air.... monday tuesday wednesday thurs friday saturday sunday monday... no turbo. I talked to them today and they failed to tell me that they were waiting on the old turbo to be shipped to them. So they received my old turbo on friday and were shipping both out today 3-day air. ok.. 1095+55 shipping. I called back around 7:30 (4:30 their time) and Calvin said they made a mistake on the shipping cost and adjusted it for me and charged my card. After all this, they charged me extra. I was transfered to Dustin and he gave me the tracking number. I may have wrote it down wrong, may have heard him wrong but dont ya know.. the tracking number doesn't work. So I paid and then paid again for 3-day air and maybe I'll get it 10-11 days later. I am in complete shock. Just shock at how people can handle their business.
Oh and by the way here is a pic of the turbo. I'm not an expert by far but that looks like a lot of magic rocks went through there.

I would like to point out that Vishnu is in no way responsible for the warranty issue on this turbo. My only complaint was the amount of time this took to be handled and Vishnu's difficultly to be contacted and/or get a reply back from them. I dropped the car off at Showcase this morning and Andy and the entire service team there were as always the most supportive business environment I have ever experienced.
