Xede help within 4 hours. Please HOT

Hey all,

I have a tuning appointment at lunch today and have problems. I tried to connect to my Xede and it is telling me that Xede V3 cannot connect ot a V2 Xede and if i want to update. I've been running V3 with smart since it came out. I do not understand what could have gone wrong. I tried V2 and it could not upload the map. It said there was some handle problem..... HELP..... I am really screwed if I cannot get this running very quickly.

How old is your XEDE. There was a batch that had to be reworked back at Vishnu because people's cars were just dying for no apparent reason.

Help

My car is running fine. I upgraded to V3, software and hardware almost 2 years ago. Shiv tunes my car so I have not messed with it since he last came to Denver early this year. My car has been running smart for a long time. Today, I tried to connect and it just said that my Xede was running V2????? How could that be? If I cannot figure this out within the next few hours, I will have to take time off work, get some tools and yank the Xede out. I will also have to buy a boost controller and install it before my scheduled tune. Not good to do that during working hours. I am just hoping someone can guide me through what needs to happen or tell me I'm better off starting to yank stuff out.

I don't think it is possible that your XEDE managed to revert back to a previous version. It is more likely a port configuration issue or a version problem. Are you using the same version of XMAP that you used to update the firmware? Is it a new laptop or serial connection?

I am using XMap3_2 and not version 3 -- perhaps this is your problem?

time

Hey,

I am using Xmap 3_2 as well. I updated everything when Shiv released SMART. Since then, I have not touched it. Only Shiv messed with my car when he tuned it. This is the same computer I have always used. I can connect using V2 but it will not let me upload the map. I do not think it reverted back but I think Shiv must have done something to it and I wanted to know if I can fix it. So far it looks like I am really screwed for time.

After 4 calls to Vishnu, I was told it takes 24 hours for tech support to call back. Nice.

You will lucky if they called you back. I can't get a call back from them. Honestly I think your probelm is with the software, can you download the new version of the newest Xmap. I can send you my version when I get home in couple hours.

You would think I would get some luck from time to time. Now the tuner is running behind and I have to postpone to another day. Oh well, The car works fine and I just have to be a bit patient. Dustin also called me back so they are quicker than what the answering service says

Tough customer

Vishnu has been nothing but awesome with me since I got my Evo. They have supported me all the way, so I have nothing to complain about. I even get on their behind once in a while and they never complain about me. That's one dedicated company.

I used to never have problem with Vishnu, I been dealing with them from 3 years but since they got into Procede heavy style, its been game over for previous customer like me. From what I heard they have like 250 orders of the new Procede version 2.0 so they are busy making their money. I just wish they still remember about the poeple who poured the money to them during the Xede days.
