Gas milage with Xede?

Since the maps from vishnu are almost as rich as stock, is it safe to assume that the gas milage is still going to suffer.

When shifting under 3000rpm, gas milage is good, but once i get into boost, the gas needle just drops. Is boosting with these xede maps going to be the same in terms of gas milage?

All things equal, gas mileage will improve noticeably with the XEDE as it does lean out a/f mixtures under boost by nearly 1 point.

Hey Shiv,

What about mpg under normal driving conditions, i.e. non-boost conditions or under 3000RPM usage? The Stage Zero A/F graphs show richer fuel mixture up to about 3200RPM. I see your claim for the higher RPM range though. Any XEDE downloads for mpg efficiency at low RPM's? Thanks.

During off boost conditions, the car will operate in closed loop fuel mode, with or without the XEDE. So mpg during cruise conditions will never change.

I thought in this thread.. you said that programming in XEDE
has changed to increase boost instead of leaning out fuel to
increase safety margin??

Nope. Both changes are made. The degree of each depends on the engine speed. Same with timing control. In some places we pull out a bit of time, in others we don't.
