and Second Creek is due to close in a year or two because of encroachment but they are already talking about it's replacement. I don't know "Pettiford Go 4 " I've only lived in Boulder for a few years and all of my work takes me out of Colorado typically (or is that the testing I do in the privacy of my "bubble bath" according to spool above)

Well the "new" Elise is making all it's power in the top-end, with no torque and the max-power is almost 8k. You obviously know nothing about engines at all. But hey, a Rover engine at 5k is buzzier than a Celica engine at 7800k...because you say so, because you've heard one before :P Light years ahead in Power? Hmmmm last I checked there were Elises running around with those "Buzzy" K series producing 215bhp.
Keep trying....

The Elise is going to be an awesome car with another 70 horsepower and a real gearbox unlike the butter churner it currently has. There is also a good reason that Shiv is getting one........

As for the whole Lotus will fly around ANY racetrack faster than an EVO and on most tracks quicker than a Z06....I bet you speak from experience, Mr. Car-Tester-Type-Guy from Boulder, Co. Lots of Evo's and Z06's flying around tracks out in Colorado! Bet you have your own little version of Laguna Seca in your backyard! So tell me where's all this "in-car race experience" come from? Your own personal in-car experience with all three lined up? or did you have a bath and bring the hot wheels in the tub with you and the elise got stuck in the drain the fastest? No one has put a Lotus Elise head to head with any other car available in America. But I guess you must have in your own secret little Road America.
Defend your silly little Else....because the funniest part about it is you actually think it's worth $38,000!

In response to I_LOVE_SPOOL, he definately haven't read this article from ROAD & TRACK.
THE GREAT GRIP ARTICLE
I was hoping to own an Elise since their first appearance on the european market. I have a chance to test drove the 111S version in here. I am still impressed and I have ordered mine a year ago. I have either owned or driven extensively on the track in all the vehicles that were featured in the R&T article (except the Modena 360). I think the Elise is no doubt the worth its price!
Elise is the most affordable track car for the street whereas the EVO is the ultimate most bang for your bucks street fighter.

Chrono, I went through his school to get my MRA license. At the time,we had an amaccs and wera team that we ran through Boulder Yamaha. John Hopperstad and Christion Gardner were our two riders. We got the first OWO1's even before Vance And Hines. I also sold a M5 to one of the instructors for the BMW school @ Steamboat

Those OWO1's were incredible bikes, I wonder where they are now (convert one for road use maybe?) Take care
My favorite ride up there was Boulder Canyon to Nederland for a short blast. For a longer ride, up to Lyons and then Estes Park. My buddy Bill Peoples owns Twin Peaks Cycles. Also other friends of mine, Rod Brueske and his buddies run Tri City . I miss it up there this time of year. But after Halloween, you can keep the snow.
