XEDE remote display?

Any plans to make a XEDE remote display/control module?

Is any part of the XEDE serial protocol documented/open, if someone wanted to try to put something together?

There is a remote display module under development right now. What features did you have in mind?

I'm thinking of something that could remote the XEDE status indicator as well as the sort of information you find on the XMap diagnostics screen.

A VFD packaged in a DIN slot along with a control pad (like a Nintendo controller), it could also provide a more finished bank switching interface - useful once you guys unlock the XEDE multi-bank feature.

Other things that come to mind:
  • SmartMedia slot for data logging/map loading/saving
  • Visual knock sensor (possible?)
  • On-the-fly map cell trim/boost (optional obviously)

I wanna be able to play snake on mine... ..

I would also like to see a smartmedia system built in. Expansion of this toy would be nice. It seems there is a lot of untapped power in the xede, so hopefully shiv can make it compete or even beat a full replacement of the ecu.

A/F, knock, o2 reading. I can't think of anything else. You need to make it work with the Motec Dash

is this still in the works? if so i would like to see:

1) Xede Function being active or inactive (just a green or red light)
2) AFR with wideband
3) EGT
4) Oil Pressure
5) Boost

don't know how many of them will actually be available through the xede w/o some type of interface. if all of this could fit into a small screen everyone could do away with gauges everywhere.
