XEDE bogging/stalling

Just installed my new Xede last weekend (swapped out my old unit). Everything seems to be working fine, just the annoying tick of the relay during boost. Yesterday, while merging into freeway traffic, the motor seemed to stall for about 1/4-1/2 sec during acceleration. the ticking stopped momentarily, then continued as the motor started going again ?
Anyone experience this problem ? Any inputs, Shiv ?

If it happened during acceleration, chances are that you hit the boost/MAF cut. To fix it, simply reduce your boost with the XMAP tuning software. All you need to do is to bring boost down by 1/2psi in the area where the cut occurred. This MAF cut issue is becoming more common since the weather has become colder.

The idle fix is working just fine. Only took a couple of hours to revise the code. Only problem is that it recalibrates the MAF input which means that all the baseline files will have to be modified. This kinda sucks so we are working on a fix that doesn't require MAF recalibration. And nope, the on-boost hesitation is most certainly the factory boost cut rearing its ugly head.

MAF Cut

Will you be able to get rid of the FUEL cut and boost taper with the XFLASH?

The XEDE assumes full control over boost so the factory boost taper isn't an issue. But, yes, XFlash will raise the factory boost/MAF cut. Not so much to run higher boost but rather to increase the buffer between the boost we want to run and where the MAF cut jumps in.

Shiv - thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I didn't look at the tach the moment it cut-off on me. I'm gonna have to do some controlled runs to figure that out.
Couple more questions... 264/272 cams pretty much what you're gonna go with ? Will you be selling "Vishnu" cams or are they gonna come from HKS ?

That's very impressive: shiv manages to sell a so-called reflashed ECU without changing the MAF (and various other parameters) based fuel cut limit and then manages to sell more software again, and people tell him they love him.

That IS very impressive...

Actually, Vishnu is very cool about adding value for existing customers. If you look at Vishnu's history in the business, they tend to give away a lot of their hard R&D work to their existing customers.

At least, that's how many of us who have spent our money with Vishnu feel. As a consumer, I vote with my dollars. I would buy from Vishnu again without hesitation.
