HKS Camshafts-- initial dyno results
just got a ride in it, idle close to normal, mean sounding on the higher revs, and pulls hard!
This just might be the ticket without going all out with the turbo kit.
Btw, saw the stock Neon srt-4? puts down around 200-210 stock !

Wilson compare your Brain Flash with Shivs Stage 1 plus cams. I am leaning toward Shiv but the stealthness of Works is appealing. Is the P2 from Works capable of competeing with Shiv's tuning.
Err, okay, the Works P2 flash is superstealth, definitely stronger than the P1, which is much, much better than stock! P2 also holds boost at 19 psi to redline, so the powerband is much richer everywhere. Mines has the throttlebody and the exhale.
When i have the P1, it was dynoed at around 210 at Vishnu on one of their dynodays, or equiv. to 240 on a dynojet.[1.15 factor]
With the P2, on the dynojet around 260, equiv to 225 on Vishnu's dyno.
The Vishnu Stage 1, with Xede, cam gear, turboback with hiflow cat, puts down around 250-255 hp, equiv. to around 290 dynojet.
Shiv's evo have the stage 1+, not fully tuned to capability yet, yielding 30+ hp, so on the final form would not be surprised with even higher #'s.
So, only if my car gets the full turboback with the hiflow cat will it comes close to a stage1, as i need at least another 25hp-30 to catch up, and 60+ to get to stage1+!
Having ridden in both the stage1 and the 1+, the 1+ is definitely a keeper!
I saw the stage 2, and it looked really sweet, humm, guess i will go back tomorrow for a ride in that one
Btw, also gotten a ride on a WRX with a JDM Sti spec C motor, another fast ride!!
So, it's like ford vs chevy, reflash vs piggyback, or howabout for maximum flexibility, piggyback on top of reflash

Now that's a idea. Full usable tuning with Reflash core base map settings, Higher RPM, (Dare I say it Injector scaling), and NO BOOST CUT.
hey shiv, any possibility of sending me a new map of stage 1 with HKS 264/264 cams ? i'd love to have you personally tune my car but it looks like a couple of months away before you'll make it up here in the great northwest.

why dont u just get the stage one stuff and buy some cams...their not exactly vishnu spec or anything. then while ur waiting for the xede map you'll still have more power until its properly tuned, then youll have oodles more power.

No reason to buy the cams from us at this time. We have ordered them but don't expect to get them for weeks. HKS is on backorder in a big way. If another shop has them in stock and is offering them for a good price, go for it
There is no problem with the stock clutch handing the power. At least from what I've seen and how I drive. I don't dump clutch and fully lift between shifts, btw.
Cheers,
Shiv
