If I am wrong about it shiv can correct me but I believe that is what went down.
That's correct. One doesn't have to be a professional tuner like Ron to fine tune the XEDE. All you have to know is what to look for and let the XEDE do the rest. It's really quite easy to tune. I'm currently writing a little tuning guide that should help self-tuning users out.

Shiv

PS. I haven't really seen a reduction in mpg with the cams. But then again, I drive like a jackass every so often that its hard to keep all things equal.

PSS. IIRC, the car that dyno'd at 290 had cams, turboback, fuel computer, etc, with custom tuning. Of course it should be higher

Yes, but you have a full catback and an intake and only put down 10 more whp than the xede. That is pretty good #'s though, did you feel any gains when you installed your intake.

Not starting anything, just thought I would throw my #'s out there as the p2 definately a good option. The cat back definately helps. The intake is useless. I just like to hear my blow off valve.

I made 245.2 WHP w/ just a an AMS catback, SAFC-II , a $45 AMS MBC, Forge BOV and a 2g Eclipse K&N FIPK (yes it's useless, but it sounds cool).

We still had prety conservative settings on the SAFC-II and the car exhibited no detination.

That's not a lot of mods, plus I had crappy Highway gas in the car.

Did you gewt that circle earthing system on that night. When I put mine on the hood would not shut. So I ditched the cricle gizmo and have just the wires now. If you got it on take a pic so I can see what you did.

Sano - what do you pay for the Xede altogether?? Did you have to pay for extra dyno time?

All I have is the P2 - and I put down 237 with no phone-calls for help. I'm thinking I paid less too, but curious.

Congrats on the #'s!

I believe 900 or so after all was said and done. well it through down 246 just with the secondary map that was loaded, no tunning, ron at axis just smoothed the line out. I believe ron called shiv just to get the heads up on the tuning. I am sure you paid less, but I will be able to tune the xede as my upgrades keep coming where as the p2 you can not. Thats the main reason I chose what I did.

For a few hundred more I will have more options, and I can take it off in 10 minutes, which I like very much.

Sano - sounds like you went with the better option with your mod path. Keep us posted where you go next - I'm curious!

20 minutes from st louis and in the middle of a town with 50,000 people isnt the middle of nowhere. most are old STi parts btw

The shop isnt moved to that location yet. But the dyno is there.

No, I am in Anaheim all week for a business trip right now, and we didn't get back from St. Louis until around midnight so Sunday was a complete waste.

I will mess with it this weekend when I get back.
