Well, before we get off-topic (I think we already are)

The STi is cool, but I think it is way behind the mods compared to the EVO. Its not all about the power. You know any of us would get the 911TT if we had the means. A hayabusa can beat any car any time, but that is not what the guy is asking.

I am sure he is wondering why there is not a lot of stuff for the STi yet when theres a lot of stuff for the EVO already.

OK Vishnu is doing turnkey STi apps that is putting out the power of a Porsche 911TT. Its on sale at 80% off of the Porsche price

On race gas, STi Stage 1 cars are getting close to 993tt power. The Porsche still has a 15-20whp advantage. It's the STi's torque which is right on par with the Porsche. The 996tts, however, are another beast altogether. They're putting down 30 more whp than the 993tts.

Ok, so original question.

When will the STI stage two be out, and any hints to it's potential.

I actually do like the evo better, but i am moving to england in 8 short months and really would rather take our sti over rather than our sissy version of the evo. It would make me sad to drive it in the land of the fq330

Thats funny The FQ 330 isnt anything special Its less than a Vishnu $800 subzero. Dont take either (noone will be impressed with a deting USDM STi) save the shipping and ante up to a 22b

agree on the 22b, but

The 22b is indeed a fine machine, however i need to be able to bring it back stateside in 3 years. GO NAVY. The new evo's and STI's are in the high 40's us dollars and my pay stays the same. I'm pretty sure a usdm sti with the 2.5l will be much more enjoyable than a usdm evo for a car to ship over there and bring back without hassle, all on government funds.

I saw a real 22b at the east coast subaru shoot out. Just a wonderful car. Very nice, VF22, and all the other wonderful sti goods of the time. I rather have a 22b instead of a TME EVO.

Just my .02

I've always heard the sti was an animal! Was it just a 2.2 with a vf22 turbo?? I don't know about you guys but you would see me in a topp of the line cosworth escort so fast it would make your nuts drop! I have always loved those things. I think there are a couple of legal ones in the states but damn they are expensive.

Oh yes Cossies are nasty Only place that would insure them in the day was LLoyds (Super high Risk Bank) they were targeted as a liability from day 1. In the same risk category as the Bugatti EB110
