loud relay clicking

ok guys just installed xede, i boost 23 spike then hold 19 to 20 psi to redline ,but after 18 psi or so a relay from the xede clicks like a **** is this normal ??

yeah, it is normal......that means it's working properly.

Yes, and you should also get a clicking sound when it's warm out after you start it in say 10-15 seconds, if it's cold it can take a min but it should also click. Also sometimes when you let off the gas it still clicks for a second or 2.

My understanding is that Vishnu had to put a relay on the factory ECU's boost control output signal, to "simulate" the electrical impedance of the boost control solenoid(?). (The XEDE of course takes over this functionality from the stock ECU, so the stock ECU's signal is no longer actually used.) Without the relay, the car would show a CEL. With the relay, no CEL, just a clearly audible clicking noise.

ok thanks for the info ) but dam the clicking . but im realy impressed with the stage one performance runs like a **** :))

I have mine behind the glove box and I hear the clicking, but it isn't that loud. It's just loud enough to tell me that everything is working....
