How to change two maps on exede with the wires?

I love my current toggle setup: The xede wires are apart when on 91, together for the 100 octane map. Very simple! I'm going to RRE for my cam install on Wednesday night, so I thought I'd preload my stage 1+ maps. This is how I believe it is done, please correct me if I'm wrong:

To burn in the new stage 1+ 91 map, I will make sure the toggle wires are apart and just burn it in like I always do with my laptop. I will get the burn into EPRON message, yada, yada. Takes about a minute. Turn car off and back on....

To burn in the new 100 map, make sure the toggle wires are together and burn it in like above.

Now, doing it this way, have I just loaded BOTH my new Stage 1+ maps with the toggle setup? If not, what steps have I left out... Also, I'll check the maps carefully before driving off to make sure I'm safely cruisin' on my 91 map

Finally, does the stage 1+ call for -2 or -3 on the cam gears?

Thanks guys.

Sounds like you've got it right. You can also check XMap to see which bank you're in. Technically you can use either bank for any map, but the general method that is used is bank 0 for street map and bank 1 for race map. That should be have Vishnu setup the car for you. Bank 0 is wires apart and bank 1 is wire together. XMap should confirm that for you on the display.

I purchased a toggle switch, which I'll be installing. I'll try to post up the pics of everything once's it's completed.

Stage 1+ is technically -2,-2, but at the last dyno day in MD there were a few cars with -3,-3 I believe. I don't think either of the cars made significantly more power in either configuration. I ran -2,-2 w/ a 272/272 combo and made some of the best numbers of the day (nothing significantly higher than others though), so my personal recommendation is to stick with that

Wow, I ask for help and I get the Big Kahuna. Thanks Mark. I'm going out to the car now with the laptop to dick around with it. I'll be back if I have a problem.

Just finished working with it. It was so easy that I'm embarrassed for asking. Now, I'm ready for RRE. I'll stick with the -2 degrees on the cam gears unless Shiv tells me otherwise.

I was one of the cars there with the -3/-3 cam settings. I don't think there's much quantitative difference between -2/-2 and -3/-3.

AlexX2,
Stock clutch. My wife would kill me if I put in a new clutch when my stock one is still working perfectly. I'll have to blow up my stocker in order to upgrade. When that happens, I'll also have to buy her a new bedroom set. We have a deal: I mod my car - she mods the house with something of equal value. She'll be cheering me on at the races; I can hear her now: "Go faster honey, I want hard wood floors."

Very sneaky johnnyevo, oh I'm already on to him. I'll have to remember that one. So far I've gotten carpet and paint he's gotten an exhaust system and a camshaft. I don't think I'll do an addition...maybe a a lift on my jeep and 75's instead of my 70's. His car is all taken care of and my brakes are squeaking my tires are practically bald. You would think he would want his wife and kids to be safe but no as long as he can squeak out a few more horse power out of his evo he's happy.

Another good reason to store your less aggressive map in bank 0 is that in case there is ever a continuity loss in the switch, you default to a less aggressive map (e.g. 91 octane or valet).

Hey, you never know.
