Thanks Shiv. I have more faith in your tuning than in the Autometer gauge I'm using.

Guys, would one of you who has installed these be willing to PM me a cell phone number that I can reach you at tonight/tomorrow if I get stuck? I'm not thinking that I'd definitely need it, but having backup there if needed will rest my mind.

DEFIs are off as well? What do you mean? ~$250 for each gauge and you dont think theyre accurate? Any experiences/proof you guys want to share?

Autometers suck. I use Greddy only. I hear Omori are great and the Defi's are off as well.

Omori
Greddy
Apexi
HKS

they are the only ones accurate on the markect today.

Yep. they are unless they fixed that with the new models out.

I spend about 375 per gauge back when there was only one distributer three years back and boy was I pissed. They all read high.

Egt,boost,fuel pressure.

So take my word save you hard earned cash and buy Omori or Greddy.

Its just for installing the cam gears themselves. I have the line and ECU in; that was a snap. The cam gears and the ramifications of error intimidate me a little bit, but these instructions are awesome and I have a good friend who can do this in his sleep who will probably be able to help me. Thanks so much for the numbers, guys! This group of Vishnu tuned Evo is a tight network. I appreciate you a lot David and Eric!

Thanks but it's still working checking out

BTW, we'll have a boost control update that we will be releasing next week. Made a few changes with the design of that little bleeder that we sent you. Give us a call towards the end of next week and we can send one out to you. It will improve boost response and stability without inducing any spiking.

Regards,
shiv

How far off are DSM cam gears from TDC compared to stock? What settings EXACTLY do you have your cam gears set to (what they read when u are looking at them)?

??? We set the Vishnu gears to -5/-5 on the stage 1s and -2/-2 or -3/-3 on the stage 1+. If you mean the actual timing wheel from the factory Ive seen them from 0-to +4 (mine was reading +3 at the degree wheel but was actually at 0(TDC) speaking with others this is normal and the factory is nearly always spot on regardless of the degree wheel reading. My degree wheel actually reads +1 (with -2/-2 cam gears) thus retarded -2 from my original setting

Thanks so much. I appreciate all that you do for your customers. Why I've ever bought WRX/Evo parts from other companies in the past will remain a mystery to me.

It is kinda like an AA meeting.. "Hi, my name is Seth and I'm... ulp... a former S-AFC user. I'm still haunted by nightmares from that blue screened little silver box that turns people's tailpipe smoke blue as well over time."

Thanks MP5! Ill bust out my stocks right now and line them up and see how far off they are.

What kinda gauges are you rockin?

Hey, how are we coming along w the SA meet?

I know I said before that Ill be getting the XFlash, but AL was in H-Town 2 weeks ago and I just couldnt pass it up. I ended up w a mail-in spec one since his Wideband wouldnt fit on my exhaust (UR style of CEL elimination?).

Anywayz, I still am a believer and supporter of the 23psi overboost XFlash has. I might get an AVC-R to get this overboost thing soon cuz me wants it. I would go to the upcoming TX Vishnu but Dallas? That is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to far for me.
