Ya man sorry sell it while it's new before install also the greddys and Omoris are much cheaper with no need for a control unit. And you can get peak hold the greedys I never even used the play back options.

I know the SAFC can be used effectively but I get an uneasy nervous feeling when Im in the presence of one basking in its horrid blue glow I cant take my eyes off it making sure it wont jump off the dash to bite me or throw a rod at my head. Im being critical but I am nervous around them.

BTW I knew you would be here soon Noize

My degree wheel actually reads +1 (with -2/-2 cam gears) thus retarded -2 from my original setting
OK, this is the second time I've read something like this and it makes me just a wee bit more confused each time. Let me verify one simple thing first. The red dot is for me to line the cam gears to the timing belt/cover and NOT to set the cam timing, correct? Mine shipped at -5 each on the hash marks from the actual "zero" reading, NOT -5 from the red dot. Since I have a stage I, I leave them at true -5 according to the gear itself, correct? Also, should I add some loctite to the allen head screws to make sure they don't back out?

Hey Guys!!!

Just got back from the garage. My AEM cam gears (for 95-99 GS-T) perfectly line up with the stock cam gears (TDC and everyhting). I guess scratch timing from my list of concerns for my car.

Noize,

DO you have the Vishnu cam gears? If you are going to use locktite, I say use the blue one at the most. I didnt use locktite on mine. They seem to hold pretty well, and I check the bolts every weekend to see if they are loose, so far, they are holdin up!!!

Hows ur cam install?

Correct the scale goes from -12 to +12 (24 possible adjustments with "0" in the middle) The red dot is to align with the cam cover marks and not to be referenced as a setting to the scale on the gears. They should be looked at as two totally different reference marks to avoid confusion

They are Vishnu cam gears. I'm likely putting them in in the morning. I wouldn't use anything more than blue, I agree with that. What is everyone else doing with Vishnu cam gears? Blue Locktite or none?

Oh yeah,

Did Shiv ever test HKS 272s for our EVOs? What were his thoughts on the power and timing adjustments to get them to idle (good)?

MP5?

Sayeth Shiv back in December:

I got my 264/272 combo to idle so smooth that we're dropping in a set of 272 intake cams tomorrow to see what can be done with that set-up. Hopefully, that can become a more streetable set-up that what is commonly believed.
Please, Shiv, let us know!
