Is it a hard code.. Meaning, does the CEL stay illuminated continually until you reset the ECU? I'd pull the back O2 and try to swap with another Evo guy. Testing the sensor itself is the first logical course of action. Let us know what happens.

If they can't help, hit the South regional forum. It should only take a couple of minutes to swap test your back O2.

check the wires to the O2 sensor.....i had that same code after installing my test pipe (i had to extend O2 to reach the new bung.) One of the ground wires hadn't been soldered together well enough and it came apart while driving. Quick reattatchment, and no code since. If it isn't that, i'm not sure.

if you've never cut and soldered the o2 wires your rear o2 is fried i had to replace mine. i also replaced my cat, since the o2 got gunked. you can try cleaning your 02 sensor. i tried and was unsuccessful. good luch bro.

why bother with all that, when it should be cover under warranty, unless

you went over the mileage already or car is highly modified.

I think stage 1+ qualifies as highly modified
