CEL, b/c of stallout?

Whats up,

Im running a STage 1+. Last night, while making a really slow 3 point turn, i stalled out. The engine threw a CEL, is this normal?

I dont have a tool so i didn't pull the code/

I've heard of this before. Understandable given the stall out caused a loss of the CAS waveform which the XEDE needs to operate. My suggestion is to not stall your car anymore j/k

Cheers,

I had this happen too following a stall and it threw two CELs - camshaft angle sensor and crank angle sensor. No biggie, they went away.

A funny thing though - some time later, I got the same CELs but couldn't reset the cam sensor code with a scan tool. I was convinced it was a XEDE wiring issue but then it turned out actually to be a broken clip on the cam sensor connector - oops

Shiv,

So its not a big deal then?

And also, ive been reseting my CEL by just unplugging the battery. IS that ok or is that just a quick fix?

I wasn't sure if the CEL being on would change the way the car ran.

aye this happened to me the other day. It was an odd stall, for some reason the rpms dipped to low down to cause it to die. i got the cel for it. no jerk or anything i was in a packed tiny parking lot where people were moving forward and back trying to play musical chairs. i reset it this morning just to get rid of the cel i hate looking at the light.
