However, when you get back from Texas could you look over my earlier posts in this thread, I had a couple questions that I could use answers to for further upgrades.

And do you have any plans in the works to come to the Chicago area? I understand that a shop in Naperville, IL has an AWD dyno and already has a relationship with Vishnu on some level.

Thanks again.
Glad to see the new map did the trick. A few people have had the overboost problem with the old map so it was about time that I put up a revised one.

To answer your questions, the only flash you may want to consider with the XEDE is the XEDEflash which costs $100 and raises your rev limits, boost limits, speed limits as well as some other idle and closed loop trickery. Most people find it to be a good upgrade to the XEDE. The XFlash is for those who just want a comprehensive flash that remaps fuel, timing, boost, etc,. Since most of that stuff is remapped with the XEDE, there is no reason for such a comprehensive map for those who are running the XEDE (like you).

If you are having a random misfire problem, you can try regapping your plugs to .024-.025". I've seen this resolve the misfire code many times. We are also coming out with a firmware udpate which will allow for launch control and idle smoothening (which should eliminate the misfire code that some have experienced). I wanted to have it ready in time for the TX trip this past weekend but we ran into a software bug which disabled launch control when idle smoothening was activated. Just a matter of a few more days before we get it working right. It will be easy for users to update their XEDE when it is ready and full tested.

Let me know if you have any other questions...

Cheers,
shiv

Does this mean you will have the firmware update for the XEDE available at the Portland dyno day?

Launch control would be cool.
