NJ Dyno Day

So far, all the Stage 1 cars (4 of them, I think) have put down 313-320whp (actual uncorrected numbers). The one Stage 1+ car (XFlash tuned, no XEDE, no cat) put down 333whp. More EVos to come tomorrow.

A few Stage 1 WRXs all put down between 250-255whp as well

Dyno graphs to follow later upon return to CA...

Cheers,
shiv

Good show! Our little Alamo Autosports in TX wasn't as ego freindly of a dyno as that one in Jersey, eh? Still, compared to a Dyno Dynamics, both read pretty high.

I bet those guys are loving their custom tunes.

If Lyublinsky hasn't gotten on that dyno by tomorrow, FORCE his **** up there!

For some reason, I couldn't copy the WRX dyno runs from Alamo's computer. It kept on making some windows error. Best bet would be to talk to Brice and get them directly from Alamo.

As for WRX user tuning (via Delta Dash) with the presence of race gas, here are the settings I recommend:

Fuel=85%
Ignition correction=1.2-1.25%
Boost= increase by .04bar
Wastegate duty cycle= increase by 125%

This is a good starting point when running 100oct fuel. Of course, these changes should be confirmed for safety with Delta Dash logging of knock correction.

UPDATE: Two more EVOs dyno'd late last night. One regular Stage 1 that made 310whp and one Stage 1+ (catless, BOV, upgraded manifold) which made 363whp. All numbers actual and uncorrected and on 93oct gas.

Cheers,
Shiv

Shiv, 363 hp! The manifold must make a big difference. When are you going to start selling one?

OK now, who was the 363 owner? Anyone we know? Shiv probably isn't gonna say, so give yourself up.

I met the guy but he's prolly not on the forum. I think his was the last car on the dyno supposedly an Evo w/ lots of mods. Too bad I didn't stick around to check it out.

Who, me?

Damn, you guys are making me out to be Batman or something like that.

Here's the story on the car:
Buschur 3" turboback
Buschur FMIC and UICP (Optima Red top in trunk)
Buschur MAS pipe and cold air intake
680cc injectors
Walbro 255lph fuel pump
HKS 272 cams, no gears
DN Performance equal length header
Stock turbo

I was running an SAFCII before and have to admit that the driveability is greatly improved with a properly tuned XEDE/Xflash combination. I don't get any more part throttle surging or stalling issues anymore and all in all, the car is a lot smoother and faster with this tune.

From the mouth of Shiv himself, the equal length header does make a difference, even though it was glowing red on the top end of each dyno pull. :-)

I can't emphasize enough how much more driveable this car is compared to just an SAFC and boost controller. I'm very happy.

Unfortunately, the tubular 02 housing did not arrive in time to be installed for the dyno session, along with a few other things that I have in mind. Stay tooned...

Thanks Shiv. Unfortunately, I've already tried calling the shop multiple times last week. No luck on getting those files

Oh by the way

Steve's car is unholy always make more power then the others with the same mods. And what really funny is that it is always tuned more conservate then others with the same mods.
