Tried other day to upload 1+100oct. map. I was able to upload
1+93oct map 2 weeks ago. Hooked black and red wires together
to open 2nd bank uploaded map but showed 1+100oct map in both banks. Tried disconnecting and connecting red and black wires could not seperate banks seemed to show 1 map loading in both slots when cheacking to see map it showed 1 map in both slots.Any idea what I'm doing wrong would like to have corrected by Wednesday going racing Thursday.

It may be the software.
I recall it being mentioned that it's a beta and sometimes flakey.
Here's the latest version XMAP v. 2.0.1.1. Perhaps it will help.

Be aware that the new version of the software needs maps created in the new version for them to work. The map you need may not have updated yet, check first.
That's what happened to me described in the thread in this forum, see "possible overboosting". Once he updated the map everything was fine, but the old map just crashed the hell out of the program.

Hi guys,
FYI, you'll actually have to look at the tables to determine which map you are running. The "get info" window will only show the title of one of the files your XEDE is holding. It will not change as you switch map banks. Let me know if you still have problems...

Hi Shiv - Any chance the code could be changed to keep some kind indicator? I ran into this when I uploaded maps also.
It would be great to identify both which map is active (1 or 2) and/or a map name. It would let me easily tell if I was running my Vishnu provided "safe map", or the map I was tuning.
I'm working on an LED indicator for my push-putton map switch for my car. The built-in LEDs on the "quality" Auto-Zone switch don't seem to get along with my Evo's electrical system, though. I've burnt out two set of LEDs already. I need to put some LEDs in that can take a bit more push. Unfortunately, the only way to currently "proof" my map switching is to hook up my laptop and start comparing cells...

I found that in the main window the bank indication (0 or 1) was correct for the bank selected. In fact during bank switching (0->1 or 1->0) was displayed.
Shiv is correct that the info window only shows the description of one of the two banks. It appears to be bank zero from my experience.
With respect to the Autozone switch I rewired the switch with three internal jumpers to permit the XEDE to only see a connection to ground on the bank switch input. Note that the switch uses a 1000 ohm resister in series with the LEDs. The LED's are quite bright, maybe too bright. One could try a larger resistance (e.g. 2K ohms).
