Excited New owner... Any simple tricks or steps that I should take to help performanc
I have been enjoying this forum for the past eight months and finally...I have picked up my own Evo. No more living vicariously through all of you.
Anyway, I've learned a lot about the car and seem to have a good handle on the options out there, in regards to performance, thanks to this forum. What I'd love to know is if there is a step by step procedure that you would follow after purchasing this car. ie, a fuel pmp, a different, more well grounded cable set-up, a boost controller, a boost gauge, etc.?????
Can you or anyone give me some advice or somewhere to start with some direction to go in?
Thanks

the grounding kits are BS, absolutely worthless.
Id start with a full 3" exhaust.
Then a boost gauge (but not Autometer, they don't work very well, do a search in this and other forums, and youll see)
Then fuel / engine management
Boost Controller
Cam gears
Camshaft
Fuel Pump
EGT and fuel pressure gauge
injectors
larger turbo

i'd get the sport meter kit first. good for establishing a baseline for tuning. or maybe some aluminum sport pedals if you don't have lots of money like me. then i'd get a used intake manifold and have it extrude honed. after that a light weight race battery. then maybe an exhaust.
