Xede firmware update?
Xede firmware update?
Is the latest Xede firmware update available for download anywhere? I don't really want to send my unit in for the update since I'm racing every weekend.

I'm not avoiding anything. To update the firmware, you will have to send it to us. You can do it youself but I don't encourage it unless you are comfortable with making the necessary software changes. This firmware pertains to the analog bypass and proto launch control. The newest firmware upgrade (the cool one with extra inputs, high speed logging, closed loop fuel control tuning, etc,.) is not available for public consumption yet as it will require a new version of XMAP which is currently in development. I expect to have this new upgrade ready late July. The boys from Chiptorque (in Australia) are coming out to the US next month so we can finalize this newest version of firmware and software.

Will the next firmware update still have be allowing for wideband O2 logging? If so, how will it be plugged into the Xede? Will there be provisions made via a harness or do we simply swap the stock O2 for the wideband O2.

The neat thing about this approach is that the factory knock control system still provides a safety net which means that poorly calibrated knock tables will not result in engine failure
It's simply a fine-tuning tool for those who want to go for the last 5% of power without absolutely needed to go on a dyno.

Whats the data rate of the high speed logging and what can we log? I do some OBDII logging and since the XEDE basically screws with those signals it'd be nice to be able to log what the XEDE sees.
