Thank You Shiv! Stage 0+ XFlash Rocks!

Just got my ECU back yesterday and threw it in. It's like driving a completely different car now! Your 94 Octane tune is great, I can't wipe the smile off my face

If there are any doubters to the tuning abilities of Shiv, fogettaboutit This guy knows exactly what he's doing. I'll be heading to Atco tonight to get some times, I'm not a great driver, but we'll see what she can do, went 13.6 bone stock with a 2.0 sec 60'. Considering it was my first time with an AWD car ever doing a launch getting that time, we'll see how much I've improved. Wish me luck guys!

Thanks again Shiv!

Steve don't worry about your ET compare your trap speeds. Good to hear you enjoying the power the VISHNU

Well then, stock I had a 99.8MPH trap speed, so we'll see about an improvement there.

Just make sure you install the little boost control fitting that was sent out with the kit. Just join the two boost lines together with it. But don't remove the pill

I already did that Shiv, works great. But according to my peak hold gauge, the boost spikes to 1.68 (!! !!) Bar! Is that ok??? I settles to ~1.4-1.5 Bar depending on the gear... is this normal?

Secondly, I have a MBC on order. After I install it, what boost level should I set it to? I may not install it at all, the car feels awesome now and it was only 40 bucks so I'm not gunna cry if I have to sell it to a buddy of mine.

Check the accuracy of your gauge. Many digital gauges tend to read a bit high for some reason. Peak boost should be 21-22psi for an instance then falling immediately off to 20psi and then gradually tapering off to 18psi by redline. Similar to what the factory does (spike, sustain and then taper) but will better consistency, more smoothness and a 2-3psi higher across-the-board boost level. FWIW, I prefer using the boost fitting over MBC as it allows for the little extra boost in the midrange without running too much boost at high rpm where the car is more knock prone.

I'll hook up a mechanical gauge and keep an eye on it. I probably won't install the MBC then. Thanks again for your help.

Cool.. certainly no harm in trying both though. Preferably on a dyno where you can quantify the effects of both boost control methods

Shiv

ps. glad you enjoy your reflash

Hi Shiv,

I want to get a custom tune from you but i already have the restrictor pill removed... you can tune around that right? or what do you recommend? with the pill removed and with just a turbo back and hks racing suction intake i noticed a big increase in power after removing the pill. would not having it affect your tuning if its a custom tune instead of a mail-in ecu tune??

Thanks,

Kevin

Smile

Well, I made it to the track last night, pretty happy with the results.

My best run....

R/T - .107
60' - 1.876
330' - 5.457
1/8 - 8.438 @ 81.86MPH
990 - 10.936
1/4 - 13.149 @ 106.09

1.846 was my best 60' of the night, I ran 4 passes that were 13.1XXs.... I know if I can bring down my 60' I should be able to get into the 12s... albeit a 12.9XX, but still a 12 second pass. There was a 2G DSM there running the same MPH as me but running 12.7s with 1.7X second 60 foots. I was the only Evo there that night, tons of Domestics. Ah well, I had a pretty good time, I'm happy with the results.

If that's just with a reflash and no exhaust mods, that is a smokin' time, bro.

Actially it's a stage 0+, reflash and full exhaust.
