I use the turbo back. Its not very loud. Sorry i cant provide you with decible levels. The exhaust is very mild. Has a very nice purr when you floor it. Without the cat, i noticed it got slightly louder. Just barely though. Not nearly as a lot of exhausts ive heard out there. For a lttle louder exhaust, the signature series is cool. My friend uses it and sounds great.

the db level is around 93 if this helps I had the br racing exhaust and that one is too loud I think you will like the sound of the Vishnu exhaust.

It's is a very quite exhaust (signature) compared to my old WRX turbo back, which would not even allow you to think. It does not have that loud drone sound and only is noticable when you floor it.

I concur Nonsig is a bit quieter than sig but the sig isn't loud by normal standards-- especially when compating it to the other exhausts on the market (esp. the ones with the JDM style muffler-at-an-angle design). The only exhausts I've heard that are quieter is the B&B exhaust. However, that doesn't have a straight-thru muffler so it is much more restrictive at the back end of the system. Not at all ideal if you want ot make max power.

Just my 2c,
shiv

When I have the test pipe in my Sig it seems quite loud. The Cat quiet's it down quite a bit.

Ah yes... good point. Test pipes will make the exhausts sound more offensive to most ears. Not to mention the tailpipe flames during over-run

Performance-wise, do the sig and non-sig perform the same? Is the only difference between the two cost and how they attach? Thanks in advance to a potential buyer.

No sig test pipes in stock currently, we should have them hopefully end of this week.

The reason Im asking is that I got pulled over and had my exaust tested by one of California's finest. My exaust is stock as is the rest of my car (for now). And no, I wasnt driving squirrly and I dont have stickers all over my car. Someone said it was 93 db, I think Calif. requires 95 db or less so this will work. A friend has the turbo back (Vishnu) and it sounds great.

I'm just curious what you think of the guys who dyno 411whp with the B&B catback on stock turbo, or the guys who run 118mph with stock turbo and B&B catback (TURBODAWG).

I'm not saying you are wrong, but I wonder just how much it matters that the muffler isn't straight through....

Hmmm... I wonder how much your numbers would change if it was straight through...

so am i to understand that the Vishnu Turbo-Back exhaust is slightly louder than stock? I am looking for a Turbo back 3" exhaust w/ high flow cat BUT I do not want it much louder than stock, I drive alot of freeway miles and do not appreciate that "drone" most aftermarket exhausts give =/

thanks

No drone with the signature dump back. I drive a fair amount of highway as well and it does not bother me at all.

I have gotten rid of exhausts on other cars because of drone (B&B on a Porsche 993). I know that it can miserable. The Vishnu exhaust is very quiet in comparison.
