I been calling and emailing with little success although I know the issues with the contact. I don't mind waiting, since I am almost to my full amount of spending money for this venture.

I just ordered HKS 264/272 Cams and waiting on arrival of those.
But currently my car is stock except for Xede with my guess old Firmware.

I am trying to find the price on how much it will cost me to purchase the Vish Turboback w/ housing Exhaust, plus XedeFlash, and Vish Cam gears.

I was thinking I would drive up my car for the weekend and stay with a few friends while I leave it with Vish to get it installed with these items plus the cams.

This would in turn avoid paying for shipping which with exhaust systems is pretty hefty. Vish if you read this perhaps you can PM me the pricing on installing these parts.

 

IMHO, unless Vishnu is going to give you some kind of bundle discount, I'd get HKS cam gears. The cam gears I got as part of the Stage 1 kit, were ... umm ... somewhat non-intuitive to install. So even though you may be getting them installed at Vishnu ... if another mechanic ever works on them, they may not put them back on correctly.

Other than that, if you're within driving distance, I'd be dropping my car off at their shop in a heartbeat.

HKS cam gears are not the best IMO.....3 mounting points instead of 5 on the Vishnu gears, can very easily come lose....

I have seen both the HKS cam gears and the Vishnu gears. Who ever makes those gears for Vishnu does an excellent job. I work with machined and manfactured parts daily and the quality is top notch. The HKS gears scare me with the 3 point mounting.

I wouldn't put the HKS gears on my lawn mower.

 

I'll let you guys know if my HKS gears come lose or wreck havoc. On that note... is anyone else using HKS gears with their Vishnu staged setups? If so, post or PM me please.
