Arrow Shiv.....XEDE & ATP turbo kit

Shiv,

Does the XEDE have enough horsepower to handle a turbo upgrade such as the base model offered by ATP? I am sure that you will say yes. However, How long will it be before we have the logging capability, WB 02 etc. required in order to give a home tuner the capability to try such a venture? (realistically, not optimistically). Will the new firmware upgrade be able to handle injector scaling? Would injector scaling really be necessary?

Sorry for the barrage of questions, but I am getting a little restless with this firmware thing. I truly believe that the stock turbo's efficiency has been stretched a little far already and a new turbo may offer some huge benefits in mass of airflow at same or reduced pressures.

As always, I welcome your comments regarding the matter.

Thanks,

HiVolt

Thumbs up

Eric,

Thanks, but Shiv may have some issues since I live on the other coast!

Think I will have to figure this one out and tune it myself, but I will need this wideband firmware upgrade first I hope we can get it soon!

How is injector scaling handled. After all, the map adjustment is only +/-30%? right?

Hi HiVolt,

No problem using the XEDE or XEDE/XEDEFlash combo for any upgraded turbo kit, the ATP kit included. With the XEDE, you can scale for injectors using the MAF scaling feature. With the XEDE/XEDEFlash combo, I adjust for the injectors by reflashing the factory ECU. Either way works fine but I prefer the latter. Either approach has been just as successful as any stand-alone we've tested (AEM, Autronic, etc,.) but with better driveability and adaptability.

Eric,

Where would the next NJ dyno day take place? Turbotrix? There might be a few Stage 1+ customers looking for an ATP 3071 tune. I'm still on the fence, but I would probably take advantage of an East Coast Shiv visit.

Aug. Looks like still waiting on STI Ecuteck information before posting. I like to put together 20 People. 10 new customer and 10 Vishnu users.

Shiv

We need to ask Shiv if we can start earning Points for Custom Tunings - you know like Frequent Flyer miles, or Cash Back etc....

That gives me an idea for a credit card. We have a program with Neuspeed that gets you 5% off.
