Hey,
I have a dynoflash program on my car, and my question is whether or not you can reflash over it. Also I have a question regarding the new reflash that you do for $195. Does that control boost at all? I'd like to see a little over 19 psi. Also how can I calibrate my car to run on 100+ octane when I will typically only have 91 unless I am running at the track? Well please let me know when you have a chance. The dynoflash program actually reduced my trap speed by 3 mph, which has made me rather depressed. BTW my cars mods are: HKS hiper catback exhaust and a K&N panel filter.

Hi,

We have a few different options for engine control. Our base option is the 195 dollar flash you mentioned. This flash does not control boost. Our next flash is the X map. The X map does raise boost, and obviously makes more power then our introductory map. X-Map is 395. Lastly, we have the Xede piggy back option, which sounds right up your alley. The Xede can hold a pump gas and race gas program, which can be toggled by a switch. The Xede is 895.

Sorry to be so brief, but i am heading out for our car and driver event today.

X-Map = X-Flash. The X-Flash will raise boost and give you more HP. The XEDE is nice because it has user adjustable boost control, 2 maps (91, 100oct), custom maps on the web site, and soon to be released launch control, knock counter, datalogger, and wide band input.

Hey JJ_008 or SonicBramell ... any idea if the new XEDE features (datalogger, wideband input) will be ready by the end of July? (read: Chicago dyno day ) I have an LM-1 installed, and would love to be able to tie it into the XEDE. With the wideband input and datalogging, will I be able to then log AFR/RPM from the XEDE?

You need to stop modifying your car and start modifying your brain. Community colleges take most applicants.

I wish I knew the release date. I remember Shiv posting a thread about the new datalogging feature and if I recall it would log AFR, RPM, knock, torque, MAF, timing, and probably something else I can't remember.

Maybe middle-school and high school courses are in order first...

Good one.

In order to get into a college, though, you need to be a high school graduate, or at least have a GED.

Hey Evo8,
You should ask Robi why he had to leave Al behind in favor of a stand alone ems. Why would you get a flash for that setup? A flash will be fine for pump gas but your future setup will WANT to be unleashed on race fuel. Then what?

You know, this would be a much better place if Al's followers stayed out of Shiv's threads and Shiv's followers stayed out of Al's threads.

Where shall I start with this one. First i'm not the best driver, but any monkey can speed shift at redline. I was trapping at 99 mph before the dynoflash, and am now trapping at 95 mph!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is pathetic. There was a lightly modded WRX Wagon running faster trap speeds then me there. Here was my best time slip at Speedway:
R/T .638
60' 2.022
330' 5.807
1/8 8.992 @ 77.98 mph
1000' 11.736
1/4 14.057 @ 95.82 mph

your 0-60ft is a bit low, with some practice you can shave .2sec off your launch

Actually I think track conditions played a part in the 60'. I've heard that Irwindale is leagues better traction wise compared to Speedway.
